Glow-a-Palooza. We had lots of fun lighting luminaries and helping with a firefly craft.

We were luminary lighting lunatics who lit up the lane. We set out 146 luminaries!

The craft was a paper firefly with an awesome glow-in-the-dark tip. Look how cute!

Volunteering at the Strawberry Jog.

We were course marshals. We guided the runners along a 5k path. 5 kilometers is equal to 3.10686 miles.

The fastest time of the Strawberry Jog was 20 minutes 40 seconds!

The Ohio Caverns. The start of our two day trip around Ohio! They are a steady 54 degrees Fahrenheit all year long (Brr!). The caverns range from 30 feet underground to their lowest point of 103 feet. We took the Natural Wonder Tour.

The Crystal King is the largest formation in the Ohio Caverns. It is 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 400 pounds. At 200,000 years old, the Crystal King is stunning!

Here's an example of the cool cave formations we saw. What does it look like to you? Some say a water spigot and others say a bungee jumping horse.

Stalactites hang tight to the ceiling and stalagmites might reach the ceiling someday. At the beginning of the tour, our guide turned off all the lights sending us into total darkness. We couldn't see our hands when they were an inch from our face.

When we were in the caverns our tour guide warned us that we might see bats. We saw one cute little bat but luckily, it was asleep.

After walking up the sixty stairs to get out of the caverns, we did gem mining.

We found gold! Fool's gold that is, along with many other cool rocks and gems.

When we left the Ohio Caverns, we went to Benny's for dinner. We had homemade root beer and pizza. Then we checked into our hotel.

We went to their exercise room. Look how strong we are!

98...99...100!

Relaxing in a HOT hot tub!

Cosi. An awesome science center! We stayed there all day, starting with the adventure into the Valley of the Unknown. We had to discover animal symbols through challenges in order to unlock a secret code. There were spooky singing idols including B’Raz-Oa (the spirit of reason) and P’Lunk (the spirit of questions). Other exhibits we went to were Gadgets, Water, and Life.

Oceans. It was wet and it was fun! We made waves, listened to water make music, and balanced balls on shoots of water.

Science-on-a-cart. As we traveled from exhibit to exhibit we got to see experiments. This one shows how the lighter ping pong balls pop to the surface while the heaver metal balls stay below the beans.

This water coated ball can't roll away. No matter how much we rolled it, it wouldn't move. If you look in the background of this picture you can see the whispering walls.

Posing for the camera! This is Progress. We were transported back to the year of 1898 (100 years before we were born).

When we turned the corner and we time traveled 64 years into the future. We were in 1962. Gas was 29 cents and cell phones didn't exist.

This was a hair-raising, electrifying activity! The picture on the left shows right before the line gets a jolting shock.

The last thing we did at Cosi was the green screen. There we traveled to the moon and got attacked by killer bees. We got run over by trains. It was a fun ending to an awesome trip!

We're scooper duper! At Lake Farmpark's Ice Cream Festival we scooped over 700 ice cream sundaes. The most popular ice cream was mint chocolate chip. Yum!

We love ice cream!

Serving lots of delicious ice cream.

Cleaning the beach at Lakefront Lodge to earn From Shore To Sea IP. We picked up two and a half garbage bags of trash!

The Wilds. An awesome animal safari. It is 10,000 acres and is home to over 25 non-native and hundreds of native species.

Where are we supposed to be right now?

Our tour was two and a half hours on the open-air safari bus, in one hundred degree weather!

Feeding the catfish at one of the stops along the way.

What! Don't we taste good?

The animals loved posing for the camera. Our tour guide (who is also a girl scout) explained what the ear tags on the animals mean. The color represents the year and which ear it's on depends on if it's a boy or a girl. Boys have it on their right ear because they think they are always right. Girls have it on their left ear because they know they are right and have already left.

Keeping cool...

Nicole and Amy volunteered 26 hours at Twilight Camp. Nicole was the PA for the Golden Girls (nine-year-olds). Amy was the PA for the Blue Diamonds (eight-year-olds). Our camp names were Smiley (Nicole) and Skittles (Amy). Here is a list of everything we did at camp: tie-dye, seed art, terrariums, boats made out of milk cartons, leave no trace board game, painting rocks with nail polish, bocce ball, dutch oven cooking, field study, pond study, creek hike, nocturnal animals, campfire songs, and flag ceremonies. I feel tired just listing everything we did!

These pictures were taken on our first day of camp. Nicole was writing the Girl Scout Promise and Amy was cutting out name tags.

We all give Menchie's a big thumbs up!

Acting silly and eating our frozen yogurt.

A behind the scenes look at May 12, 2012 (The Girl Scout Talent Show!) It was very fun and there were only a few technical difficulties. We all can't wait to do this again next year!

Munching on our cookies during intermission and hoping everyone loves the show!
